Looking at the concert photos, 1967 tour had the DC5 in striped shirts. On many dates, they played venues 'in the round'. During those shows, one can see the Super Beatle amps being used, and the speaker box tilted flat so the sound would go straight up. This is before fancy PA systems. 08/06/2011 19:38
Hello, I wanted to know more about the 2 sons that Denis Payton has.What are they doing....?....are they musicians also....?....I met Mike Smith at a plave called The Turning Point in Piermont, New York back about 10 years ago or so....he was a very nice man....had time for a nobody like me as well as everyone there....We had a photo taken that night and I really wish that the person would have mailed me a copy as they had said they woyuld...oh well the memory of just seeing...hearing and singing along with are enough for me....anyone with any info on this PLEASE let me know....thank you all....Joe Nania a.k.a. I'm now a 60 yr old woman who as a 13 yr old had the typical teenage crush on Denny Payton. When I heard of his passing, I felt like I"d lost a loved one.
